Mini-grant Proposals

UC San Diego honors the heritage, culture, and lives of Native Americans. As a result of the positive response to the California Native American Day Celebration inaugurated on September 28 and 29, 2006, the campus wishes to expand its programs to the UCSD community and actively engage participation in Native American issues during the Fall quarter, September through December, 2008. Mini-grants are available to UCSD campus programs, departments, and student organizations in award amounts up to $1,000. Proposals for programs, events, and community partnership activities such as film screenings, creative performances, lectures, and outreach or service projects addressing California Native American subject matter will be considered. The Deadline is October 15, 2008.    The UCSD California Native American Day Planning Committee will review and determine award amounts. For questions, please contact: Robin at chaintern@ucsd.edu

REQUIREMENTS AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1. We are accepting application beginning September 26, 2008.  Early applications are encouraged.

2. A complete proposal answering all of the points listed below must be submitted.

3. Organizations that receive funding will be required to submit an evaluative report by December 13, 2008.

4. Proposals that involve broad constituency (faculty, student, and staff collaboration) are strongly encouraged and desired by the committee.
