Principles to Practice: Campus Community
Center’s Institute on Diversity and Social Justice

June 25th, 2008 8:30am -4:00pm
Price Center, Gallery A 50 people maximum

On Wednesday, June 25th the Directors of the Campus Community Centers (the Cross-Cultural Center, Women’s Center and the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Center) will lead a discussion regarding the complex issues of diversity and social justice on the UCSD campus. Addressed from multiple perspectives, and with a deep-seated attention to the lived experiences of the participants in the room, the session will explore both past realities, current situations and potentials for future change.  Cultures within departments, political dynamics, and individual effectiveness will be examined and explored. By honoring UCSD’s Principles of Community we continue to maintain an excellent workforce, and the session provides a space to hone the skills necessary to maintain and enhance this work.:
