If you think your voice doesn’t count, think again. UC San Diego students, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to share their opinions by participating in the University of California Campus Climate Study Survey. The systemwide effort—believed to be the largest survey of its kind ever conducted—asks more than 430,000 individuals about their experiences with diversity and inclusion at work and on campus. The confidential survey is being administered on a location-by-location basis with the UC San Diego survey launching on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
With your help, we can further our goal of creating a welcoming environment that is safe, productive and nurtures all parts of our diverse community.
In appreciation of your time and effort, prizes will be awarded through UC Systemwide and UC San Diego incentive drawings. Everyone who submits a completed survey will be entered into drawings for the incentive prizes. Prizes include:

The survey is completely confidential. It is conducted through an outside group, Rankin & Associates Consulting. Your identity will not be linked to your survey responses. At the completion of the survey, your personal identifier (used to personalize, store and retrieve your copy of the survey) will be separated completely from the Climate Survey and forwarded as your entry into the drawings.
Use the personalized link you received in your email on Jan. 22 to access the survey and also to re-access it if you want to stop at any point in the survey and start again later. You can return to the survey as often as needed to complete it using your personal survey link. However, once you have viewed specific pages (clicked on the “next” page button) you will not be able to return to those pages to revise your response if your browser closes. You will only be able to complete remaining pages using your personal survey link.
The survey is voluntary and only takes 20-30 minutes to complete. The survey will be open for several weeks, but please act soon to ensure your voice is heard.
For more information about the survey including a detailed list of Frequently Asked Questions please visit the UC Campus Climate Study website. For UC San Diego specific questions, please contact Glynda Davis, senior diversity officer, at gdavis@ucsd.edu.
