campanaTANA TROKE CAMPANA serves as the Executive Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration at the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering. Tana is responsible for the central budgeting, financial, human resources, facilities, technical operations and general administration of the Dean's Office. She is the senior business manager in the Jacobs School and collaborates with the Dean in administrative leadership of the School. With extensive knowledge of education administration, Tana began her University of California career at UC Irvine in 1987, moving into progressively responsible leadership positions during her thirteen years at the campus. She then spent two years at the UC San Francisco campus in Auxiliary Services before taking on the role of lead business administrator and IT director at a K-12 public school in Western New York from 2002-2007.


curranMAUREEN A. CURRAN, M.S., serves the Director of Administration and International Business Development Health Sciences International (UCSD HSI). She is responsible for creating, maintaining and enhancing UC San Diego Health Sciences' International (HSI) services by fostering worldwide partner relationships. She also oversees administration and program implementation for collaborative partnerships such as establishment of College of Medicine and Health Sciences projects.



cruzMELANIE B. CRUZ serves as the Executive Director of Development for the Divisions of Biological and Physical Sciences at the University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego). At UC San Diego, she is responsible for the comprehensive fundraising activities for the Biological and Physical Sciences which include: the Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry; Mathematics; Physics; Biological Sciences; the Science and Math Initiative; and the Environmental Systems program. She successfully oversaw the completion of a $20 million unit campaign for the Division of Physical Sciences during UC San Diego’s first capital campaign. In an interim capacity, she was tapped by campus leadership to execute and direct a major campus initiative for diversity fundraising and served as Interim Director for the UCSD Diversity Initiatives Development program. 


edwardsEARL W. EDWARDS serves as the Director of Athletics at UC San Diego since March of 2000. Under his guidance, the 23-sport program has made a very successful transition from the NCAA Division III ranks to Division II. Since moving to Division II in 2000, UCSD has been ranked among the top seven programs in the country on 10 different occasions in the annual Directors' Cup standings. Currently, he sits on the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Division II Board of Directors and the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA) Board of Directors. Edwards is also an ex-officio board member of the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) and has served as the organization's president. In addition, he is a member of the CCAA's Executive Council.



garciaVONDA GARCIA serves as the Director of the Financial Aid Office. Vonda has over 28 years of experience in the financial aid profession in higher education. Her first exposure to her career, as a financial aid student herself, was at Grossmont College as a Federal Work-Study student.  She graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelors of Arts and continued her passion assisting students in obtaining their educational goals. Vonda worked for 18 years at the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office at Cal State San Marcos, and has recently returned to UC San Diego after 5 years of prior experience at UCSD. She also previously worked at a for-profit private institution and a non-profit private institution, both in the San Diego area.

helsonRAMSEY L. HELSON, MPA serves as the Executive & Special Projects Assistant to Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla, UC San Diego. Ramsey joined UC San Diego in 2015 and is excited to be part of the Triton family. In her current role, she provides support and advice to the Chancellor on a wide range of issues involving the highest level of administrative work. Ramsey has a multitude of experience supporting the C-level executives in higher education, local government, and in the private sector. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and master’s degree in Public Administration, both from the University of Kentucky. She is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in the foster care system and a membership co-chair of Women Give San Diego.


kindredCHARLES KINDRED II serves as the Director of Transportation Services and holds a MBA from the University of Redlands. Charles has also served as Assistant Director of Transportation and Parking Services at UC San Diego, and Associate Director of Parking and Transportation Services at Cal Poly Pomona. Currently, Charles is the Vice-President of the California Public Parking Association, and a committee member of the International Parking Institute. As a member of the San Diego Police Department, Charles taught an in-service course in effective public speaking. He also taught Cultural Diversity at the San Diego Regional Police Academy. A member of the San Diego County Interagency Juvenile Council, Co-founder and Director of the Urban Knights, a youth mentoring program sponsored by the Black Police Officers Association.


fornataroANGELA FORNATARO MCMAHILL serves as the Director of the University of California San Diego Conflict of Interest Program, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research. Ms. McMahill holds a Doctor of Juris Prudence (JD), is certified in Healthcare and Research Compliance (CHC/CHRC), Healthcare Privacy (CHPC) and a Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA). She has over twenty years of experience in research/clinical trials with extensive experience in research compliance and research administration from both the site and institutional perspective. Ms. McMahill is also an instructor for the UC San Diego Master of Advanced Students in Clinical Research/CREST program. She has presented at numerous national conferences on a variety of research related topics and is actively involved in national research societies and organizations.


orgeraJEFF ORGERA serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor, Student Retention and Success. Dr. Orgera leads UC San Diego’s campus-wide collaborative efforts in the development and implementation of an overarching strategic plan to improve student retention and graduation rates. With attention focused on the improvement of services that support our students and the student experience through cooperative campus partnerships, Dr. Orgera advocates for and coordinates university-wide efforts to promote student success, persistence and graduation.





CYNTHIA L. MUYLLE serves as the Director of Organizational Development for Academic Affairs Resource Administration, Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor. She is a principal partner in the development of an Academic Affairs leadership pipeline with a goal to recruit, develop, advance, and retain current and future managers at UC San Diego. Cyndi is a high-level strategic advisor to the Associate Vice Chancellor, Resource Administration, participating in long- and short-range planning, and is additionally a resource within the EVCAA on complex and important issues affecting Academic Affairs and/or the campus. Cyndi has over 27 years of experience on the UC San Diego campus in a wide variety of roles including the Undergraduate Colleges, Preuss School, Fleet Services, and Housing-Dining-Hospitality. She is a UC San Diego alumna with a B.A. in Psychology and completed her M.B.A. in 2002. 


rockwellROXANNE ROCKWELL serves as the Director of the UCSD Adolescent Eating Disorders Service. She has experience in the research, evaluation and treatment of eating disorders and pediatric obesity since 1999. As a certified Family Based (i.e., “Maudsley”) Therapist, she served as the primary IFT program therapist for several years, and currently conducts FBT with families and provides training and supervision in this modality for staff in the adolescent eating disorders program. She began a Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) for the adolescent programs in 2012 and continues to develop this important service. Her clinical and research work focuses primarily on eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder) and weight management issues.


singletonANTHONY SINGLETON serves as the Chief Small Business Officer for UC San Diego’s Integrated Procure to Pay Solutions. He is responsible for Social Responsibility, and Sustainability programs, and the Office of Small Business Development. This includes policy development and regulatory compliance of programs, systems and processes in support of federal, state and local agencies and UC system-wide initiatives. These efforts lead the campus in demonstrating UC San Diego's commitment in business diversity, healthy and sustainable practices and greater San Diego community involvement and presence. He serves on various boards and councils for the University of California in Supplier Diversity Leadership, Vice Chair of the Public Agency Consortium (PAC), and serves the North County Small Business Development Center as an advisory council member.


mayWENDY TAYLOR MAY serves as the Deputy Director of Athletics. Wendy Taylor May joined the UC San Diego Athletics Department in 2000. After spending her first five years as an associate director, Taylor May was promoted to Senior Associate Director in 2005. In 2015, she was elevated to Deputy Director of Athletics. Taylor May also serves as UCSD's Senior Woman Administrator. Taylor May’s areas of responsibilities include capital projects, fiscal and strategic planning, risk management, personnel management and student-athlete welfare. She provides direct oversight of the business operations staff, compliance and student services staff, equipment operations staff and office administrative staff as well as operations, staff and management of the new Alex G. Spanos Athletic Performance Center.
