SUBJECT: Diversity Council Recommendations

On behalf of the Diversity Council, I am pleased to forward to you a set of recommendations related to increasing the diversity of UCSD's students. The recommendations, which address both short- and long-term goals, were generated by the Council's Student Subcommittee. In formulating the recommendations, members of the Subcommittee examined data on admissions, scholarships, and campus climate and consulted with many individuals who are involved in the student recruitment and admissions process.

The full Council approved the recommendations and is ready to meet with you at your convenience if you desire more details.
